A rare opportunity to learn from acclaimed artist Janet Weight Reed as she shares the joy of observation, creativity and expressive portrait
Inspired Creativities November: Expressive Portraits with Janet Weight Reed 🎨
We're absolutely delighted to welcome acclaimed artist Janet Weight Reed for a very special Inspired Creativities evening.
Janet rarely teaches workshops now, making this a wonderful opportunity to learn directly from an artist whose work has inspired collectors, students and fellow artists for many decades.
The evening will begin with Janet creating a live portrait demonstration, sharing not only her artistic techniques, but also how she observes her subject and brings personality to the page.
Then it's our turn.
Working in pairs, we'll have the opportunity to draw or paint one another, discovering that great portraiture isn't about perfection—it's about really seeing the person in front of you.
This workshop isn't about producing a masterpiece.
It's about slowing down, observing, experimenting and rediscovering the simple joy of being creative.
Whether you work with watercolours, coloured pencils, old paints, pastels or another favourite medium, Janet will encourage you to explore your own style in a relaxed and supportive environment.
If this evening sparks your creative curiosity, then it's done exactly what Janet hopes it will do.
